**********

It is important for parents and players alike to recognize the commitment involved in this opportunity.  Training will be at least two times per week and it will not necessarily always be local.  The location of training will depend on the composition of the squads and we have had local sessions during the week as well as combined sessions at a halfway point.  Players are expected to attend.  Carpooling has proven important.  Players will be expected to prioritize the team and the environment over other extracurricular activities.  This includes high school soccer, flag football, homecoming, etc.  The costs associated are similar to what everyone is used to but slightly higher due to the demands of the schedule.  Participation in tryouts is an acceptance of the commitment to the environment if selected.  Players and teams do not enjoy success without being dedicated to the cause.

Staff:                           The team(s) will be coached by Staff Coach Aaron Murphy and Staff Coach Alex Morris.  They share equal responsibility for the players and the squad(s).

Coach Aaron Murphy has been a part of soccer his whole life.  He began playing when he was 5 years old and played through high school.  He started coaching at the recreation level in 2006 and has coached both high school soccer at Arnold High School and Club soccer with Bay United.  He has been with Bay United since 2009 and retains an NSCAA National license, USSF National D license as well as a Barcelona Special Topic Certificate. He holds an NSCAA equivalent of a USSF National B license.

Coach Alex Morris is originally from Tampa, Florida and played at Jesuit High School.  He went on to attend Emory University for undergraduate and then Florida State University College of Law.  He has held a United States Soccer Federation “C” License since 2004. He also holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Advanced Regional Diploma (2009), a National Soccer Coaches Association of America National Diploma (2010), a National Soccer Coaches Association of America State Goalkeeping Diploma (2009), three advanced coaching certificates for 10 day residential courses conducted at Centro de entrenamiento para Futbolistas de Alto Rendimiento (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and two KNVB 10 day residential diplomas (Maastricht, Netherlands and Zandvoort, Netherlands).
